As part of the Greater Cornwall Chamber of Commerce mission “To support successful businesses for a successful community” we feel strongly in advocating for our businesses. The Town of Cornwall is in the process of reviewing parking regulations, specifically minimum parking requirements. Many small towns and cities around the country have been revising and/or eliminating these regulations because they have found them to be bad for business and for the community. These requirements create obstacles for small business growth, decrease walkability and infringe on opens spaces. It is for these reasons that along with the Orange County Chamber, the Greater Cornwall Chamber of Commerce is advocating for revisions to these decades old regulations.

Please see that attached letter sent to the Town of Cornwall Board on 4/27/2021.
